I'm planning out a new garage so I thought I would get your thoughts. I plan to do lots of lights, plugs and air drops. I'll also do wiring for cable, phone, surround sound, a small fridge. I haven't quite worked out where everything will go yet, so I dont have that in the plans yet. I would like to have a small lift one day, so I tried to plan ahead for that. What do you think?

Nice concept. Where are you planning on placing your workbenches / storage? Is that close space on the left under the bathroom a shed of sorts?

I'm thinking that most of the workbenches will go against the back wall. I may also do a rolling island of sorts to go infront of the car for added work space and storage. Yes, the room on the lower left is for outdoor tools, gas cans, paint, and any other messy stuff and will only be accessable from the outside. Hopefully that will help to keep dirt out of the garage.

Nice indeed. It appears to be similar in scale to my 28 x 40, except mine is wide open, with a 10 ft wide garage door.(on the end)

One thing I would suggest,(if you haven't thought about it already) is a simple 6" round floor drain in the center of your work area(s). It is really nice to be able to clean something up (car/truck/mower or whatever) and pull it inside to finish it off...or even just to let if drip dry :)

My first 3 shops were already built.(built wrong, but thats just my opinion) My last one AND my current one, I built correctly....and that included a floor drain
