Garage in a tree..........not really

I need some ideas on a tree house for the kids. I would like to pattern it after my shop. Like a little red barn in the sky.

any ideas or sites with pictures would be great.

Also.......... do I need a building permit for a tree house?

We kept the large oak in place and added on a carport. SD
