looking for suggestions on alternatives to drywall for interior walls.i finished my tool room in drywall with diamond plate trim.however main shop area is just studs and insulation,am wanting to finish with something more durable than drywall but must look awesome as well thanks for any ideas.

I've entertained the idea of using FRP panels on my future shop.

I asked here earlier, and the consensus was that it would still need some sort of drywall backing.

You could put up wafer board then put the FRP panels over them.

How about running some horizontal boards then putting up tounge and groove pine vertically? Or just run tounge and groove horizontally.

3/4" Marble slabs would look awesome...... polished granite slabs? (you didn't specify if cost was an issue......)

If you got the $$$ then slat wall would would be cool along with polished diamond plate 2ft up from the floor.
