Slab was poured on Monday. Control joints cut yesterday and framing was started today. Photos below.

Yes, I felt this was the most satisfying part of the build. From slab to framed and sheathed in one weekend. It goes fast. Looking good!

Actually I'll have no attic space. The center of the garage will be a tray that is about 9' wide and 14' tall.

Coming along nicely. I see what I think is treated ply around the bottom but the bottom plate wasn't treated in contact with the slab (if my eyes haven't failed me again), I guess I think the plate would be more important to have treated. Not meaning to be critical, hoping to be enlightened on still another form of construction. TIA

Bottom plate that's bolted and strapped to foundation is treated lumber.

Actually there is no upstairs. The walls are 9' tall and there will be a 3' soffit on each side, from there the ceiling will angle up to height of 14'.

The room on the left is for toilet and shower. Room on the right is for washer, dryer and hot water tank.

My contractor said that should I every wish to add one that it could be done pretty easily. Of course that would mean I'm not using a lift anymore.

I know I'm not Ron, but I used hardi soffit and dimensional PVC for the overhangs...no rot

BTW Ron, your garage is coming along very nicely, you'll have all the power you'll ever need with 200 amp service!

If by overhang you mean fascia we used aluminum. The soffits are vinyl.

Finally got around to painting. Hopefully they will put in garage door tomorrow.

Next will be tiling bathroom then sink and surrond, then probably epoxy floor unless I change my mind and decide on something else.

I like it. It looks a lot bigger on the inside than the pic of the outside. what are the dimensions of the footprint? I looked but only seen what the wall height was.
