This is awesome haha.

I was washing out my floor the other day and I found a water puddle in the master bath. I had left the toilet lid up so I thought maybe the dog made the mess.

Well washed it out today and... puddle on the floor.

The wall of the bathroom is against the garage so I guess water is coming from a crack or through the sill plate... not sure.

Now you know, you can not wash your vehicle in the garage. Need more info. Did this ever happen before? Did you use water on the garage floor? Roof leak?

Want the textbook answer? Caulk the sole plate.

Yeah I meant sole plate. That's what I'm going to do (caulk)

I was washing out the floor. I haven't washed a vehicle I own in a few years... don't think I'd do it in the garage anyhow.

Hopefully it'll never happen but I suppose it might be a good idea to be aware of gasoline leaking in there, say from a ruptured auto tank or tractor, whatever. I got a tri-level house and my garage floor is about 2 feet higher than my walk-in door to upper basement so if I had some kind of gasoline leak the gas could run inside that level and possibly run down to the next lower level where my nat gas water heater is and....boom. I got too many levels:). I think now there are codes pertaining to that problem.

I'm going to caulk the sole plate. From the looks of it there are a couple spots that have a 3/16" gap or so between the wood used for the sole plate so I can see water leaking there.

Where the water leaked in is where the boiler/water heater is and I didn't have an easy way to squeegee out that area. The floor also tilts just a bit in that corner too so it doesn't help things out.
