Hi Y'all

My name is Rob
AKA Slowride 66

I am a certified toolaholic ,classic car nut and a bunch of other stuff (most good) :eyecrazy:

IRONICALLY I don't have a garage , shop or even a shed to work in!

I have been working at my goal of buying and fixing things; cars, mowers, trailers ,whatever... matters not to me .I'm a jack of all trades and a master of some

I have been dreaming of owning a 60 wide "S" type quansa hut type of building for many years .I

'm convinced that it would be the best type of building or Florida's Hurricane seasons and it also affords the luxury of adding on until the cows come home

I was getting close to the dream... until a few years ago when the floor fell out and my health went with it along with my savings.

I'm unable to work on a PRO level but still have good days when I can do some stuff

I just happened across a thread on a forum I frequent often .
www.hotrodders.com

I have a 24x24 parking slab in the back yard where I do mandatory repairs until the weather changes guaranteed to rain at the worst time every time! :lol_hitti

I hope after my mother in law (who lives next door!) passes away to move to a bigger place and a more rural setting but at the present time with no income and unemployable I'm struggling to stay afloat, and am greatful to have a place to live!
but i digress

I look forward to cruising this forum and learning from you all!

heres a few pictures of "MY SHOP" :scared:
my tool box and stuff

OK I'm gonna lurk around, spell @ Y'all later

Glad you took the time to join. Hopefully things will improve in the future for you.

You're not the only one on here without a garage, there are many of us. I like looking at the pictures and getting ideas for the day I can afford my own. Plus there's some really knowledgable people that hang out here and can answer questions even if they aren't directly garage related.

Hey..you've got it pretty good...I was at my buddy Hank's place yesterday...he was working on his hotrod in his old milking parlor....zero degrees at best...a small woodburner...the work area is walled off with blue tarps...but he's out there welding, cutting, fitting...it could always be worse...

Welcome aboard...maybe you'll meet a few guys here who will lend you their shop when you need it...I know you're always welcome in my shop here in Wisconsin...

Hey Rob-
Glad to see you over here too.
Quick warning for you-cover your keyboard when you're looking at the "garage majals" that some of these guys have-I've ruined a couple by drooling .

Hey.......looks pretty good to me. Better than a shade tree plus you can lock your stuff up. It don't look like it would take a lot to enclose that, but....I could be wrong.

Please forgive me for hijacking your thread but this reminded me of a great little joke.

What do you call your mother-in-law driving your new Ferrari off of a cliff?

Give up? Mixed Emotions!

Sorry I just had to.

Hey, at least you've got that awesome Florida weather year round and some nice cars to play with. I have a 3 car garage now but a few years back I was doing oil changes and maintenance out in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Always be thankful of what you've got and you can bet that there's someone out there who has it much worse than you do. Anyway, hope you have more good days than bad so you can work on your projects. Like a friend of mine says, use the not so good days to plan for the good days ahead.
