Garage Lighting - Cfl

I am working on my lighting for my soon to be built garage and am considering using the 105 watt CFLs mentioned in an earlier thread.

The garage will be 26' x 28' with 12 ' ceilings and will have a two post lift installed in one of the bays.

My concern is the placement of the fixtures. My initial thought was use four fixtures with one fixture placed in the center of each quadrant. My concern however is will the fixtures placed in the lift bay may interfer with vehicles placed on the lift. So a second option is to place one each approximately 5' off the back centered across the two bays and to place two more lights centered in the middle of the garage spaced approximately 7' and 14' from back wall.

My questions are:

Will the placement suggested above be OK?
Should I have the walls extended upward? I can go about 6" higher.
Should use a different placement? If so, what layout should I use?

Thanks

Rick

i am also planning CFLs and going 4 ft from wall and then 6

4-6-6-6-4 :32ft wide

wall lighting may help at 7 ft to minimize shadows when car is on hoist?

/just thinking out loud/

Just remember that those "bulbs" are almost 11" long.
Even with a 12' ceiling that is a big target hanging there asking to be broken.
