I think I have a bad breaker. I wanted to run this by you guys. I had several fixtures go out in my garage all at once at some point. I don't know when it happen exactly. I just noticed they weren't working when I went down there. One is a two bulb fixture in the garage, one is a single bulb fixture in a storage room, and the other two are 2' single bulb florescent lights in the crawl space. I at first though it was the bulb in the garage cause that is what I use most often. Not the bulb. Then I noticed the storage room wasn't working. Nor the crawl space. So I have a string of lights out. One light switch controls each room except the garage light. It has two. No breakers were flipped when I checked. I've flipped the two breakers that are labeled "Garage Receptacles" and "Crawl Space." I believe its the one that is the "Crawl Space" because the "Garage Receptacle" breaker actually turns off outlets. The only other lights in the garage are two lights on the "Utility Room" breaker that is for upstairs. Does this sound more or less a bad breaker? I've never had this problem and I'm not an electrical guru. Thanks for any help.

you will need a meter or wiggington tester to trouble shoot...
you can replace the breaker...but it may or may not prove your guess.
I have not seen more than a handful of breakers go bad in decades of electrical work.
What happens when you flip/cycle the crawl space breaker??? Does it click immediately when you set it?

Sounds less like a bad breaker, and more like a bad or broken connection.
YES! After KANSASBOY mentioned GFI I thought I'd look under the crawl space one more time. This would be the 3rd time. I looked around again. Saw the heat pump and water heater. I knew they wouldn't be on the light breaker. So I fumbled around looking at different angles. BOOM. I see the condensation pump hidden away. Looked up. There it was a tripped GFI. Thank you so much!
On the other hand. I went to test the garage light. I was looking at the light when I flipped the switch. (LED Bulb). It came on for a spit second and made a not good sound. I noticed when I was looking at it trying to figure out the previous problem the light wasn't in good shape. The socket wires looked bad and the sockets didn't look good either. I think I disturbed them.
So I've been wanting to change this light fixture to a outlet anyway (to plug in my florescent fixtures). So I think now is a good time. Thanks again!
