Hello all, well I'm ready to hang some 4 foot led's from my metal garage braces and was wondering how other forum members solved the issue of exactly how to hang them from the cross braces. If I use the chains that come with the lights my concern is any breeze coming thru the garage would cause them to swing back and forth. The garage peak is at 12 feet so it won't be an easy task to climb up there. Any ideas, recomendations, photos of how you did yours would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Use the chains.
Any day you have enough wind to move them will be a day you will have the door closed.

I use chains, never noticed them swinging, and you can adjust the heights to be where you need them.

The older I get, the more light I need.

When I worked for an electrical contractor we usually hung the light fixtures from jack chain and wired them to a four outlet box. This allowed for easy removal when needed to service the light fixtures or replace those that became defective.

cyberbear has another good thing about chains and plugin corded lights.
They can be moved around if the original placement wasn't right.

Not sure if it helps, but Menards has this super HD stuff called "versa track?" or something like that, and it's made specifically for hanging lights. Allows to move the lights too, it's U channel track with hardware you can buy to mount lights to it and move around on the fly basically
