Hi,

I'm going to be having a new garage built in the next couple of months, the garage will be single car and i will be setting it up as a showroom feel. What lighting have people used in the garage, i'm thinking of now used florescent tubes.

Any pictures would be great for ideas.

Thanks,

Martin

Some study is in order of this forum, there are many posts.

You have T8 fluorescents, T5HO fluorescents and the membership warehouses have LED-tube fixtures.

You mean bare fluorescent tubes? Is that the showroom feel you are looking for? Old time vintage showroom?
Walk into a few new car dealers and look up at the ceiling to see how they did it. Find a look you like and copy it. But be prepared to spend serious money on fixtures and the proper installation to make it look professional.
Paint design and graphics on the walls are also important. I assume you won't need to store things like bicycles and yard tools in there, right?

There are tons of topics in here with tons of comparisons between bulb types and designs. Most of which have photos to look at.
If this is also going to have new lights I'd recommend LED's. If you have T8's already then use them.

Go with LED. Check out the sticky for recommendations. I just did 6 fixtures and couldn't be happier. Now I can see what I'm doing which makes the garage makeover that much more desirable
