Just a wee thread about my garage.

25 x 25 x 10 drive through, 10 x 10 doors built in 2009. An 8 x 25 wood storage area on the side that I might reclaim back as cold storage. (Good place for the Devair)

Only outside photo I have.

Somehow I've lost most of the before pics. Only one I have before the work.

Husky 555 saw in the shop.

Old school heating.

And what is a Devair?

Yeah thanks. I will go snap more later lol.

Devair : DV Compressor. It's in storage ATM.

Early wall installation.

Finished the corners off.

Once the west wall was finished I concentrated on the other side.

CABINETS BY HAYLEY HR. 24" deep.

The original plan.

Then I discovered Hayley screwed up the work top and it didn't have the extra 2" to compensate for the corner.

I didn't have the heart to drive 6hr round trip to exchange the counter top. Not that there would have been a new top as its custom made.

So I decided to remove one of the cabinets and create a leg space.

I had to notch the back uprights because of the 10" x 4" steem wall.

I planned this, purchased 18" deep lower shelving to clear. Corner piece in the pic went in the garbage.

Looking better.

Well, once I fitted the cabinets it was time for more slat. Had to plan the job very carefully, the slat had to fit over the back splash, and it did

All trimmed and finished, I did replace the bolts with button heads as filled the remaining holes with blank grommets.

Thanks allot fella. The 'PROSLAT' is real nice for sure. Made here in Canada, same as the cabinets.

It's not cheap, Homedepot USA sell it. I got a batch for cheap so continued the theme, It's also forsale in Canadian Tire rebranded and cheaper (For the Canuks)

Thanks fellas. I still have to finish the slat but Iam waiting till I get the compressor in and wired. The shop has 200amp service.

Anyhow, Me old man bought me this back in 1995 when he had money. Technics stacking system, 240v. He sent it over a while back along with a UK recepticle. Anyone know how I managed to make a 240v single hot wire work on 110v?

Frikin $2000+ music system in today's adjusted dollar.

This how it look aright now. They made a right 'Pigs ear' of panel. Noting I can do as it feeds the house. Having looked at it again am gonna cut the Board above and run a gray slat along the top instead of white.

That crate hidden away has a 1000hp modular short block in it.

Take a UK-made yellow 110V site transformer and simply reverse it for 220V out. It will still be 60Hz as local, but you'll likely find the internal PSUs will cope happily enough with that, with the exception of a record deck which might be dependent on accurate 50Hz mains frequency. Are you sure there are no voltage selectors on the back, because for absolutely years now (decades) many world-goods had a user choice or in recent years were capable of taking a range of 90~240V as standard, with no user interference.

I looked for a voltage switch on the back but nothing. The Hi-Fi is dual 50/60hz so that wasn't an issue.

In the end an Electrician at work said simply run 110 to the hot and 110 to the Neutral. She lite up like Xmas.

When I removed the electric baseboards I had two spare 15amp 230 breakers. Iam thinking about getting a decent hover mower from the UK now I have UK power.

Finally got the compressor in the shop. 700lb dead weight.

This thing is big, 24" Breaker bar for comparison.

Just need some 8 gauge wire.

Finally got the Compressor onto the hockey pucks. Would you believe two Canadian Tire's I visited didn't have any pucks?

Sorting the Essentials out. Am gonna run 3/4 Black pipe, guy next door is a pipe fitter by trade and has all the tools.

Kaeser filter heads.

Wiring mmm. From Mag to Motor is 10 gauge. I might just run 10 gauge from the pannel, wodda ya think? I will need to use a 40amp breaker as the motor pulls 25amp.

Thank buddy.

We always have something on the go. Rebuilding a pick up at the moment and gonna need air very shortly.

I have a blast cabinet and we paint allot. I bought the compressor used for less than a (49% China) 'Made in The USA / Canada' unit with less CFM.

Hello from the east side of the Rockies eh!

Thanks and your welcome. It's a gong show at the moment.

Would defo recommend it to anyone. Even just for aesthetic reasons.

And howdy from the South East corner of BC.

That proslat looks really nice. What is the holding capacity on something like that in lbs?

Thanks. It's claimed to hold 75 pound per foot. I haven't hung that weight from it yet, It's obviously stronger where it's screwed to the studs.

Great setup!!! Is that compressor 5 hp? I have a dev that is 7 HP, I bought it cheap from a friend closing his business, I don't have it hooked up yet, I'm thinking its gonna spin the hydro meter pretty fast.

Thanks guys.

Yeah that Devil-bliss has a 5hp Baldor motor. The proslat is great. Very happy.

Anyhow I decided to set up the compressor a little better. Installed the Hanky Seperators with # 12 Reusable hose. Not real happy with the compressor outlet, needs a #12 45* instead of the 90*.

Used a 2x4 as a mock up. Gonna use some 4" angle eventually.

Have some # 9 filters for them.

Did a little bit more.

Hosed up my new reel. The unit didn't come with a stopper so used a hockey puck.

Think am gonna mount the reel on the ceiling. Now to find the matching Electrical reel.

Still haven't made a bracket for the SPX Seperators yet. Will be tomorrow I guess.

Separators in on Rubber mounts.

Kinda screwed up and used the wrong size hose. Should have used 7/8 so might re-do it.

Messing around again. Finally managed to get some Charcoal flavoured Slat.

Most labour intensive part. Fitting around existing fixtures.

Now Iam 3 lengths of white short FFS.

Started my 'Black pipe' air system.

This is the general set up. Ignore the ******* & connectors. They are just to get a feel. Measure up guide.

If I substitute an 18" length from the coupler to 'T' it should look like this. Makes the Reg & filter accessible from the floor.

Thanks fellas.

It's a gong show at the moment doing all this internal work. Will snap a few once I get the remaining pipe bought.

I managed to kinda match the charcoal colour, I painted around the panel as can be seen. Should I paint the boarding above the slat?

Could anybody Photoshop that for me please?
