lets have the nickname of your garage/shop. what your significant other calls it as well.

my wife named mine the "sin bin" after the penalty box in hockey as i play 2-3 times a week. although as a goalie i don't get sent there anymore. i like the name and it has stuck. :lol_hitti
did a search and didn't find a thread like this

So far, I call my shop "The Manshop". Although, I am contemplating a different name such as the "Rec Room". I don't see my shop as a "mancave" because I still work a little bit and build stuff out there. I see a mancave as a place where guys only hang out and watch sporting events. In the Manshop, I can work on stuff at the same time I am watching football or UFC fights. At this time the Manshop is mostly for entertainment so I feel that if I call it the Rec Room that would be a fitting name. I can't make up my mind.

When I wuz racing and used my old garage, we had a sign that read, "Dept. of Dirty Tricks."

Somehow, I lost that sign when I moved out. Imagine my surprise when I saw another at a garage sale. It's in my new and bIgger garage.

I have a 2 car garage in the basement of the house and a 2 car detached pole building with blue steel siding a ways away from the house. My kids call the basement one the "brown garage" because of the color of the doors, and the detached is the "blue garage". My wife calls it "You're always down at that damn garage instead of spending time with me in the house"!

In the construction stages of my new 26' x 36' "The Dawg House", named partly in memory of my beloved 16 1/2 year old Siberian Husky "Boomer", who left us in November 2011. More to come on this build.

I named it the Slave to the groove garage. It's half shop half mancave.. yes, I painted it, and put all my decoration stuff down there... the wife won't let me have any of it in the house, so it had to go somewhere. lol

she calls it the shop..

The Hospitality Suite. It houses the beer fridge/kegerator, TV, etc. among the other toys--and I host friends there.

The Sanity Shed stolen from my Dad and his late wife. We go out to our sheds for two reasons....I go out to get away from the wife to keep my sanity. She sends me out to the shed to keep her sanity. The only way to have it.

I've got a shed under reconstruction that I call "The hole"

The floor height when I started was 36" above grade, and extended out 36" outside of the foundation

I've been tearing it apart and the new floor level will be 16" below grade and inside of the foundation. New walls are being built on top of the foundation, inside of the existing walls.

So everything I tear up, the floor, joists, interior walls, shelving, workbench, etc gets busted up and tossed into "the hole"
