Hey guys, was talking with a few friends ( city boys ) today about how they could protect there truck bed while hauling there sleds around this winter, and they commented on seeing some thick rubber mats at the truck shop molded for there trucks, for ONLY 179.99. anyway what I suggested was this.

Hit up a large feed store / animal supply house ( buckerfields in BC ) that kind of thing, and buy a Stall Mat. there meant for your prize horse to stand on and do its bodily functions they make them in a few sizes, I think the largest is 6x8 feet and about 1 inch thick. They will stand up to any abuse you throw at it ( look at its purpose ) and just needs to be trimmed with a sawzall or your favorite non flame cutting tool for the truck or on the ground in the garage.

that said here I can get a 6x8 mat for 79.99 i just dont get a mat 1/3 the thickness with a cool logo.

hope this helps a few of you out or gives you a few idea's. warning IF you go this route, bring a friend with you they are F'ing heavy to haul around. and yes, we use a few on the farm here, the ones we have, have had sheep on them doing nasty things for 14 years and there not ready to be replaced. so this should last you guys a long time.

would be nice to put down in a workshop area for standing comfort. plus the added perk of being able to pee on it whenever you want!

Perfect timing, I was thinking of getting a truck bed mat... I'll go see what TSC has, the generic truck bed mat I was looking at isn't but $60 or so.

Bed mats are nice. But it can cause rust in the bed of the truck. Dirt and debri get under the mat holding moisture. Yes it is cheaper, but I would go with bed liner, either professional done or self.

If you mean for hauling snowmobiles around, the rubber mats are a pain.
They get jamed between the ski's an track when backing out. The mats are great for most things, but not sleds with agressive carbides and studs.
I choose to just let the bed get destroyed unfortunately.
