Great looking garage, the 911 is a necessary addition to the family. Glad to see you are a fan of Sharkworks, Alex is a great guy.

Spacers are looking perfect. Looking forward to seeing the subtle drop, get rid of a little of that wheel well gap.

I really wanted to find a local car, because I prefer to have a good amount of time to look it over (at least 2 good test drives), get the PPI done and speak directly to the Porsche dealer about items I'd like taken care of under the warranty.

How long is the warranty on those? Would have thought it would be done by now. Your used vehicle purchase plan is solid!

Wow, easily one of the finest garages here on GJ. Your paint scheme was the main inspiration to my own space, it really works well with the red on black.

997 looks outstanding too, but needs a drop bad!

One of the finest garages I've seen on this board. Love the truck's current stance. Where do you hide all the routine garage **** like your lawn mower, kids toys and such? My daily driver is '01 996 C4 Tip and has to share the garage with all of the above and it gets tight from time to time.

You will note my security system in full active mode in this pic.

I don't know how I missed this thread, but that floor turned out amazingly well. I will have to keep this product in mind in the future if my addiction to race deck ever wears off.

Thanks enzo57. I installed the bypass this weekend. The quality and fit was excellent, and the sound is perfect. Just the right amount of increase in dB whilst maintaining the traditional Porsche sound.

Thanks Dubber - the warranty is 5 years / 100k miles as a CPO (certified pre owned) vehicle.

Many thanks. I just tok a look at your thread. Don't know how I missed it before. Amazing job

Many thanks Morio. Man I am clearly not spending enough time on the forum. Another amazing garage, and incredible car collection you have.

Thanks Twomato. All the ugly stuff (mower, pressure washer etc) as well as some of the larger non car related tools are in the downstairs workshop. Which is the next project on the horizon somewhere...Great 996 you have there also.

Thanks Ben. I think the Rust Bullet could be great underneath the RD also. Best of both worlds :)

Great shots! I assume the noses are all pretty much at the same distance to the garage doors? Cool to see the perspective of the different lengths. Surprised you don't have the 911 at the end reversed with the Panamera. Or does its shorted length give you more room at your cabinets maybe.

BTW time to update that sig ;)

Thanks Dubber.

That's exactly the reason Dubber. :) Putting the 911 in the middle gives me more space around the center cabinets and counter top. And yes the noses were at roughly the same point forward.

Can see myself in that garage sipping some very nice wine, or, perhaps something a bit more robust while enjoying the soft curves that meet the eye along with the red that sets everything in the perfect element. Beautiful!

Thank you Odis. I certainly spend a fair bit of time in there and really enjoy the cars and the garage.

Perfect set-up. Really enjoyed the before and after pics. So worthwhile to take the time to show where it was to get a true perspective of the current state.

Do you mind sharing the size of your garage? It might be in this tread and I might have missed it. Love the simplistic look without the bikes and mowers and fridge and and and

Thank you. I reread from the beginning and found it, but did not update my post. We are moving into a few house with very similar dimensions. I love the clean look and it seems that the lack of non-car junk helps make the space work. Where do you store typical garage junk?

Good work.

Are you supposed to fill the lines they cut into the floor??

I love this garage. Love. It. This is the look I am shooting for, except I can't be quite as minimalist as I would like to. (No separate workshop for me, which means my tools must go in the garage.) Please add my name to the "PM with info about the lettering" list!

Very nice work, I love the color scheme and especially the Porsche lettering. The cars are also extremely nice, the 911 is beautiful.

Thanks Guys. I hope the contact for the letters is helpful.
Please drop me a PM once you post pics of your install. I would love to see more examples of the letters/signage being put to use in garages.

A quick update from my side is that I came across a great Panamera GTS which I picked up this week.

I had actually been contemplating the impact of having to modify the signage in my garage, because during my search I also took an M6 Gran Coupe out for a test drive. The power was definitely impressive. I think BMW really nailed it with that car (compared to the M5). It is really impressive. However it lacked the quality and finish of the Panamera cabin (albeit only in a few areas) and has considerably less rear cabin and trunk space. Most of all, despite the power, the M6 although far more engaging than the M5, still feels less connected to you as the driver than the Panamera 4S or GTS (especially on the corners).
I enjoy long road trips (to go on vacation with the family) so the combination of performance, luxury and space is what makes the car really great.

So in the end no change of signage was needed. The garage remains a pure Porsche domain :)

It will be sad to let the 4S go - but the Cayenne needs to be back in the garage ASAP.

Well, we've now passed the 3 year mark. How's the floor holding up?

Dave, the floor is holding up brilliantly - the floor is incredible - Zero issues 3 years on now.
The pics above were taken around August and nothing has changed, except that I far preferred the weather in August :)
I'll be sure to post some new pics again soon.

The garage looks VERY nice. Great job.

I put my Rust Bullet on last June and am pretty happy with it too. I used four coats. How many did you do?

Do you run floor jacks over the floor and jack stands? Does jacking the car up leave any marks on the floor after long use?

You mean something like this :) (see before and after pics below)
I had my car up on 4 jackstands for about 10 days while my wheels were being painted. You can see a reasonable closeup of the floor afterwards. No issues. The only thing to be cautious of is stone grit dragged in by the tires, getting stuck under the floor jack wheels when you move it around. These can sometimes cause small scratches if the wheels lock up. I've done it a few times but they really aren't very noticeable unless you look for them.

I also did the Cayenne brakes (pads and rotors) and installed coilovers about a year ago. This involved a LOT of jacking up and down s I did a lot of fine tuning of the suspension. Again no issues at all.

I haven't much on the floor in almost a year of use except for some black marks once in a while from the floor jack wheels. Most of the time they seem to wipe off.

I had posted previously that one of the minor irritations is in fall / early winter when a lot of wet leaves can get dragged in by the tires, and they tend to cause some staining which does eventually go away after a few washes;
I was recently looking for something to get rid of these stains in one go with minimal effort, as the typical domestic floor cleaning products are not that good.

I had always been impressed how BlackFire microfiber cleaner gets rid of some pretty tough wax and polish if you let the pads soak in a solution of it with water. So I decided to test it out on the floor, and it worked really fast and just seemed to dissolve the stains immediately. I think I'll just switch to using this in future:
