Anyone have a really good idea for a gift for a garage party? It should be around $25.

Tin signs, fatigue relief floor mats, gearwrench ratcheting screwdriver set, good set of used speakers, drop light, extension cord, hf tool cart, creeper, jackstands, mechanix gloves, latex gloves, drain pan/shop towels/hand cleaner...

Those are all options I'd bring, remember them for when I build my garage ;)

These are some great ideas! I'll take them to sears. They'll also be good ideas for the new garage I'm building...it's going to be attached to the home I'm building...will have 12' walls and is 20'x39'....any ideas or thoughts on what to include in the construction would be appreciated...

- Wall Clock
- Fire Extinguisher -- the kind that have a cabinet you can recess in the wall are very nice.

A few construction suggestions...
- put the top of foundation +8" above the floor slab. This will allow you to wash down without rotting the bottom of the stud walls and gives you a concrete curb at the bottom of the wall that helps prevent things rolling into the drywall and damaging it.

- 1/2" plywood under the drywall gives you two advantages, one it allows you to hang anything anywhere without worrying about hitting a stud and gives the drywall a good deal of impact resistance against bumps.

- even if you don't plan on putting one in at first... rough-in for a hand sink/toilet and maybe even a mop sink.

depends on the nieghborhood :lol_hitti:pimpflash

on a serious note, if its a fresh move in or build, flags are good too, something hes into to hang on the wall, or the good old red white and blue. helps to fill wall space in a large area.

I'm not sure where he got it but a friend bought this sign for my garage. I think it would be home at many of the garages here.
