That is really good for 8 days alone! It took me and a friend 9 days for get mine totaly dried in roof on it everything but the siding and doors up. Mine is a 30x40 with 12' walls. I thought we did good for 9 days with two but that is alot by yourself. Good job.

Thanks I had 12 days to work on it, but we had rain for four days. I had hoped to have it in felt but that will have to wate.

That is looking really good. Someone could still take your tractor even though you have it locked to your frame work lol. And that is nice use of your shop crane. How much weight do you think one of those joists weighs?

A 2x10 weighs 3.37# per foot and a 2x12 weights 4.1# per foot. So around 100# per joist, not real heavy, but good idea if alone.

The joists are 2"X12"X26' the weight on the the ones with plywood between is 280 lb. I have four of them up there. I think it maybe overkill

I like the inovative way you went about getting them up there.
Looks like the added extention you made puts the lift at its limits for that weight giving the length of boom and the shortness of the legs.

Your right it was past it's limits. But when the weight got over the wheels it was all good. the extention is a bed extention for a pickup.

What are the dimensions of the floor / ceiling beams. You must have paid a chunk of $
for a 30' span. I wasn't aware that they made 30' long 2 x 12's.

Sorry It's taking me so long to reply, been So busy and they took the internet away at work kbs2244 It's the ends out of my jackstands. I was going to rent a bobcat with forks but it was to much $$$ maybe price gouge after hurricane IKE.

sharage71 They are 2"X12"X26'ft. they were $44.50 each with 2"X6"X18ft. raffters @ $6.21 and maybe add $5.00 for suppprt, that's $61.92 To buy a tuss would have been $145.00 each. with no storage and $225.00 with storage. To use TJ's I beams that could hold storage cost $72.95 each. plus raffters and support, But when you cut back the ends for the 8/12 pitch the cut back is inside the interior wall and that's a manufacture no no. so I'm not sure if it's the best solution to my build but I feel that it's safe. I was hopeful to have lite storage up there, but I think someone could live up there

Did you put the anchor bolts in wet concrete or drill out holes and pound in wedge anchors?
