working at a factory today and asked if there was any spare racking going , told me to take as much as i wanted FREE ,did i score?

The place i work at part time, just bought one 12 foot ? section with plywood shelves and all the stuff with it + delvery all used for $200.

I'd say you're a millionaire. Well at least a couple thousand-aire anyway. : )

This could end up costing a bunch if you got only uprights...

no got cross beams too and boards , beams were around corner and boards were inside ,only taking what i need as i need it

Jim those uprights can be cut down and used to build all sorts of stuff, I'd grab a few of each piece. If you had the patience you could build a structure out of those uprights and beams, people around here use them to build full loft areas in high clearance shops.
