18% buyer's premium is on steep side too. 12-12.5% I'm good with but another 6% on that. Then throw in another 7% sales tax, you're at a quarter of the selling price.

Auctions used to be fun to watch and bid but now, it's like let's see how far we can gouge the bidders.
Indeed……seems like everyone is making money……except the seller. I tapped out a few years ago on auctions with those fees.

Welded to the slides underneath is a piece of angle on each side. Basically set up like this to hold down on the slide out. These are going to be a second set welded on.

When pushed all the way in, it'll be completely under the table. I'll probably put some type of handle on it to grab.

Bed liner sprayed this morning

Patriot brand, in case anyone was wondering.

KIMG1198.JPG

Since they are a truck accessory place, I picked up a receiver adapter. KIMG1199.JPG
All that money on a new truck and they don't include the receiver adapter, or was that for your table project?

Did some work on the truck this past weekend. I ordered a few things from Ford. First thing up was a console vault.

Out comes the tray, which *****, as I like it in there.

KIMG1222.JPG

In goes the console vault. It's held in by 4 screws on the inside and it has a 4 digit combination lock.

Up next, replace some of the secured storage that I lost with this truck. My old truck had a lockable storage compartment under the rear seat.

KIMG1227.JPG

With this kit from Ford, it provides a small compartment under the very back of the seat.

KIMG1228.JPG

The kit comes as two pieces, which I could only use one. There's a smaller one that won't fit due to the 400W inverter. That's fine I can live with it.

The future plan calls for an aluminum box to cover the entire area under the seat.

Then came the road trip. As some of you have seen, I started a thread about road trips. I hooked up the trailer for the first time with the new truck.

KIMG1229.JPG

In state to the north east corner by Cleveland for two stops. First was for the pallet racking. Two sets of 3 uprights and 12 beams for $70 each and a pallet of wire decking for $65~.

The next stop was at Maple Heights for a bandsaw that I bid and won the auction for on Govdeals.. . . with taxes & fees, $117.85

After loading up the pallet racking, I was short on space. I had to loosen up the straps and hook another ratchet strap and winch everything forward.

Then after putting the ramps in place, I (with some assistance from the wife) laid the bandsaw down on its side. I think I might have entertained the guys watching because I told them it was like a 350lb saw. The one guy remarked at least that much.

After walking it up the ramps and the ramps had room to close, it was on the road. A stop by Culver's for lunch and back to the house.

It was listed as a model 3575 saw and I couldn't find anything online reference I model number. KIMG1234.JPG

Basically the same 7x12 saw that everyone else has been selling.

Nice torch table! Have you considered a catch tray for slag and flaming BB’s that seem to go everywhere and cause hours of concern?
I had at one point. However, when I built this addition, it was for parking the JD....as I built it, I decided to do all my metal working here as well. I have it set up pretty good for that function...no wood legs on benches and nothing like boxes stored on the floor.

There is a plastic 55 gallon drum that needs to leave.

That made me laugh a little, using the right tool for the job even if it is a bit overkill. The table looks very functional, since you have the mag drill are you planning to put fixturing holes in the top?

JB
Actually, I used it to put two more holes in the legs on the other end. There's piece of rebar getting welding in for C-clamp hanging. Yes right too l for the job makes it soooo much nicer.

Yes, plans are for fixture holes in the top. Probably not a ton of them but yes, in the plans.

Plywood???? Right where sparks and hot a$$ things could land. 😁
Yes.

However, I have a piece of aluminum diamond plate I was considering putting down.

I never considered it being a problem until yesterday when I had the mag drill out and thought about the holes in the top allowing sparks from falling down there. Like I mentioned, it's a work in progress, building as I go.
