Mini PC is back in the hands that will issue a refund, if they so desire to. I've been looking for a cheap replacement for it. Since its a garage PC, I don't want to spend big money on one to pretty much surf the 'net. I had a Best Buy refurbished unit that lasted about 5 years. It couldn't be upgraded to W11.

I'm considering just buying another refurbished unit. If I can get 5 years out of it, I'm fine with that. Maybe something like this ??


In the mean time, I have someone coming to look at the old metal brake shortly. I'd like to wait till I get my Jungle refund.

I did get some work done yesterday. I found a way to get some oil in the overflow of the bandsaw. I think its better but I believe it still has air in the system that shouldn't be.

I took off the hand wheel for better access.



I figured now was a good time as any. Dish soap and Simple Green as cleaners, a brass wire brush and some water.

I also needed some fasteners for the front of the Jet brake. They are metric and I ordered a few sizes.


Since I had extra metric fasteners, I figured might as well label a few of the bins I had. Simple thing I had been putting off but room to grow a bit.

Typical these days. Are you allowed to have it picked up at the fire station parking lot? Chain and lock it to the truck?

OK, so to be fair, the guy just left. He has a client locally to me and didn't think he would have time to stop by. We talked about 15-20 minutes. He showed me a couple of pictures of the Opel he built.


I've done a pick up at the station for something I was selling before. So its not big deal. I just warn the buyer, that I might not be there due to responding to a run.

While burning through daylight today, finished up the brake. Wright won't go on till needed so it won't be so wide.

The brake looks great Eric, nice job . I can’t remember if you happen to have a 48” belt sander or a surface conditioning tool. But either one with a scotch bright belt makes quick work of stuff like those brake fingers.

I used one of these in 2" with the die grinder.




I've used similar in 4.5" grinder on the column of a drill press. I've had good luck with them cleaning stuff up without being too harsh.

That is why I have no issues doing it....there's a safe exchange zone at the PD... they also decided to make one of the offices upstairs a "nursing room" during the festival for mother's with infants.

While the guys didn't have issue with the room for breastfeeding, it was the problem with leaving someone, unknown to us, to wander the station possibly by themselves. This includes access to our living quarters and bunkrooms..guys leave their personal stuff in there, keys, wallets, Ipads, laptops and other stuff.

The city Administration didn't think we should care or have any say in that matter.

Spent a little time taking stuff out of the truck. It goes to the body shop for the deer I hit a month and a half ago.

I probably didn't need to take all my junk out but figured I would rather be safe than sorry if something happens...

I don't have that endorsement on my policy. Honestly, never really needed it. Other having a windshield replaced and a pick up owner since 1992, this is the first one to go in the body shop. Granted the wife has had a vehicle in for bodywork, but none of my drivers ever have.

Heat advisory today and not much going on outside. So I have kicked around the thought of tinting the man door window....well, tint was on hand.


. . . and yes, there is dirt under the tint. Its a garage what can I say ?

So I decided to clean the wagon wheel frame....its now clean....how about some paint ?



Since I'm doing all this, might as well clean the door.



Like I said, heat advisory, so I am not letting all my AC outside. Painting is going to happen at a later date. I need to get a couple of cans of black Rustoleum....yeah, spray bombing it.

Bag has been hanging there for about 5 years.... 4 magazines at the ready, AR/1911.

The next thing to buy is a new shop computer...waiting on a refund from The Jungle and sale of 36" brake first.

I knew this was going to get interesting.

First things first.... Got lighten the wallet with the body shop deductible. Next is a new (refurb ?) shop PC. After those two things, the next thing that has been getting kicked around is . . . Well Cam, I'm pretty sure you will figure this out easily. . . . It won't match the tool boxes.
