Looking for some shop rug / mat ideas. My buggy often comes home very dirty after a weekend in the woods and would like the mud and grease not to be all over the shop floor. I will eventually put down an epoxy coating but in the meantime looking for something cheaper and easier.

A carpet mat would be one possible suggestion... They are thin and inexpensive but do the trick https://www.garageflooringllc.com/drymate-oil-absorbent-garage-floor-mat/

A containment mat would work better

Cheap and easy? Perhaps try to find some carpet remnants on craigslist? Or split the difference between a temporary carpet and a full blown epoxy floor and try VCT?

Not sure if you’re like me, but I tend to think of the more economical solution first. I suggest a heavy duty tarp

Dollar Tree sells these backed carpet squares for a buck each. So cheap I did my entire garage bathroom in them and have now done the entire section of my garage wgere I work on my bikes.

Get a painter’s dropcloth. Take it a coin op laundry to clean when it gets too muddy.
