Saturday morning I Stopped off at a garage sale on my way to the junk yard and bought:
Old SK metal socket box with six point metric socket set, standard length 7 mm- 19 mm. Most are SK, a couple are Mac. - Ten dollars ( I really did not need the sockets but I wanted the metal box)
Big Fairmount USA 1 3/8" combination wrench, light cosmetic rust - fifty cents.
Big adjustable pattern hub puller, marked "Springfield", "made in USA" and "500". Styled sort of like a harmonic balance puller on steroids with four finger attachments. - two dollars
Very dirty top tray from a tool box containing the following 1/2" drive tools:
Craftsman ratchet, Craftsman flex handle breaker bar, Walden ratchet, sliding "T" handle breaker bar, 15 good SAE sockets(6-Craftsman, 4-Walden, 3-Snap-on, 1-Mac, 1-Thorsen), 21 mm socket (Bahco Sweden)- Two dollars for all
Nice 5" x 10" Stanley metal socket box- Thrown in free
To top it all off I found a solid and straight, slightly cosmeticly challanged aftermarket step bumper for my old Toyota pickup at the junk yard for twenty five dollars.
