I enjoy going to garage sales. I've noticed thru the years that it seems like each year there is some item that is more common (or at least I purchase). This year it seems like it is 6-8" C clamps- good quality. I bought about 8 over the summer for probably $5.00 each. One year it was plumb bobs, another hand planes, another it was saw sets. Does anyone else see trends like this?

We love both going to, and having, garage sales.

I had air tool attachments sitting in my shed for like 20 years, decided to put them out on our "dollar table". They were gone in a NY minute :)

I also like antiques so I resell some stuff at our sales. It's always neat to see people's reactions when they see the old stuff!

I stopped going to garage sales. The chance they have something I would want is just too low. OTOH I have been buying myself things liberally since the '80s ..

My wife and I go to garage sales and estate sales, and sometimes find things we both need or want. She has changed the decor in our house a number of times with high priced items that sell for low prices. She then just swaps out the other pictures or whatever. We don't spend time in bars drinking, so this is our 'night out.'
