Garage/Shop with 2nd. Level Apartment

I want a shop with a second level studio apartment arrangement. Does anyone have one of these and could you post pictures or offer ideas. Which method of construction is better for Washington State wet weather climate stick frame, pole, or metal. I want a 3 bay (1 RV height).

Mine is a 3-bay with a studio over two of the bays, clearspan to 18 feet on the third bay. The overhead door on the third bay is a standard 9x8 ft but could have easily been a couple of feet taller to accomodate an RV. I haven't updated the build thread in a while, guess I need to post some newer pics. You will get the idea, though.
