I had a laundry tub for my garage sink. Over the years it got pretty grungy and it was difficult to clean. I opted for a stainless sink we took out of a job and I usually keep a spare faucet that was taken out of a job as well, just in case

The counter tops are plywood with a remnant sheet vinyl flooring bonded to them and the cabinets came out of my kitchen when I remodeled it about 7 years ago

Just finished my garage sink. I went with a Koehler cast iron sink that was wider than most fiberglass utility sinks that the box stored sell. It was expensive, but I like the way it turned out.

I got lucky and salvaged this porcelain beast from a demo job. It came with the faucet as well.

I installed a sink this weekend with my brother. I picked up the sink from costco for $250, it was more than I like to spend for things like this but the wife wanted something that looked nice with the washer and dryer. It was not going to be the hill I was going to die on. My brother got a set of left over foot pedals from a hospital build at work. I am 6'5" so we also built a stand, which was also required to use the pedals. Works great so far.

Foot pedals are great when you have messy hands.

Any plumbing supply place should be able to get them, it's normal stock for a hospital.

To go along with what NUTTS said, along with foot pedals, you can get an eyewash adapter to go on a faucet. Flip the lever and as soon as the water turns on, it pops the caps off.

I can't remember which member it is, but he made a sink out of a galvanized tub. Neat as can be. Help me out on this one someone.

I do not understand how modern bathroom design has neglected the urinal. I wouldn't build anything without a utility room setup like that. Mine is in a different location but the hospital had a re-do to jamb some more office in and ruined a beautiful mens room . Now all single stool closets, duh, always a mess. Its cause of the dual *** deal, what a pain in the ***. Lowes and Menards know how to build a pisser.

Has anyone seen fixtures for sale there?

Go work in a place that has people going in and out using a urinal on a daily basis. Piss splatters everywhere. It may be fine for a garage, but for a house, there is no way I would want a urinal in one. And yes, they will splatter more than your standard commode.

Put that many thru a commode and it will be worse. And a home wouldn't see that kind of random traffic.

I like the custom jobs, I really do but as a practical matter for light use a laundry tub works pretty well. I like them retro fitted with kitchen faucet. I actually have 2 tubs. I had the one with the pisser in before the floor was even down.

There has been some remodel go around the above pics, they are old but represent the location in some respect. In the second you can see over the corner of the sink the side door, going to this one is not an out of the way event.

Where did you purchase the cabinet and countertop?
