Garage Sofa

after we moved, i ended up with an extra leather love seat. now what to do with it....... i like everything in my garage on castors, so off to the castor store (coolest place ever) to pick out soft, flat bottom castors with brakes on each wheel. the soft castors are to make it easy on my chipped floor. yea i am careful just to be sure.

yes. i put castors on my leather sofa so i could sit wherever i wanted in my garage.

i had to build up the bottom frame of the sofa before i bolted the castors on. i over killed it but that's the way i roll.

one of my friends said i have way too much time on my hands....ha

life is good.

I did the same thing but with a full size pull out couch. I bought 4 casters at $8 a piece from home depot. Rubber wheels and brakes on each. They worked great for about 1 week and then stopped swiveling. No amount of adjusting or PB blaster would help them. So I returned them and bought the cheap HF furniture dolley for $7.99 and took the wheels off that. Now it rolls smoothly and cheaply. I have spent a few nights on the couch in the garage, by choice. It makes it really comfortable out there. I also had the HF bug screen up on the garage door and it was very pleasant without all the bugs.

I had a old bench seat in the shop for awhile, after I started it on fire the second time out it went.

Nice, now I think you need to make it a tradition that anyone who falls asleep on the couch gets rolled outside.

Nice to have a comfy place to sit if you ever need to RTFM.
