Garage stairs material?

I'd like to dress up my garage stairs into the house. I've seen the vinyl cladding for the treads, but they don't cover the uprights. Looking for something that looks good and doesn't absorb the rain/snow. Is there a go-to material for GJ builds?

I had the same dilemna on my garage steps, as I really didn't care for the OSB surface that was on them when we bought the house. I ended up getting some stair treads and staining them then coating them with spar urethane and mounting them. I think it was around $40 for the two treads, end caps, stain and urethane. And I think it looks worlds better. Here are the before and after:

That looks awesome, Crizzle! What material are your stair treads? I know my oak ones indoors were over $60/each. Have they held up well?

They have held up very well. I think because I took the time to put 2 coats of stain and then 2 coats of the urethane. They have only been through 1 winter at this point, but they still look brand new. I haven't had to do anything other than wipe them down about once a month when I mop the floor.

Here are the treads I used from Home Depot, and the price looks to be a few dollars higher than I remember on the treads. I think I had a coupon as well that knocked a few bucks off. Still it was really reasonable for how much better they look than before.
