Finally got it started. I just wish that I had more than 9' of headroom, but I've already got my wife on board to build a out building. That will most likely be next year.

Garage is 36'D by 40'W with two 16' doors. I've got two drains in the garage and will also have a hot/cold bib. Above the garage will be a 17' by 40' theater room. Eventually I will paint the floor, but that will have to wait until the driveway is in. Not really happy with the pour, as you can see that even with the drains, there is still some valleys. I will cut into them at a later date. I'll keep this up to date as the garage changes. Thanks

We got some of the trusses over the garage today. The nice new floor is now perfectly covered in mudd. Wet days ****.

Is your floor under water now?? Yikes. Why so much water? There doesn't look like there is much room to regrade - you're already at house level.

No no. The floor is just wet from all the rain, and everybodys muddy shoes. The pic is deceptive.

Slowly, but surely we are getting there. Lots of light as I am not worried about privacy. We are on five acres with a gate and a 200ft driveway.

Garage is wired for, cable, phone, internet, and audio sourced from the media room. It also has a sink, and prewired for a split type heat pump, and or stubbed for gas should I go that route. All I need is a urinal, but you could always pee in the sink.:lol_hitti

Thanks, but these days I am thinking that it may be more of a insane asylum than a compound. I am going nuts trying to satisfy the drywall hangers. The contractor is AWOL. Actually he is in China for the week.

Finally starting to get some mudd on the walls. Had to fire the first hangers. They decided to bring beer to the job, walked right in front of us bringing it into the house and didn't even offer us one.

wondering what kind of roofing material is that?
Thanks. It's CertainTeed Presidential. They make a TL line that is even thicker yet, but we had to draw the line somewhere. They also offer it in a moss resistant version.
