To give credit where it's due, I was inspired my Milzo's build, https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=233122.
I have 12 wheels/tires taking up too much room, so I decided to make a platform that could be lifted out of the way. I used components from Tnutz (a cheaper version of 80/20), Superstrut channels, Unistrut trolleys, and a Harbor Freight hoist. Probably going to do a 1/2" oak plywood platform.
I designed it for a 500 lb load using ANSYS finite element software and some hand calculations.
The CAD model was created in Autodesk Inventor. Full resolution CAD drawings, CAD images, photos, and bill of materials are available here:
