Garage tile installation question

I'm considering purchasing TrueLock or GarageDeck tiles to cover a very bad, severely peeling epoxy job in a house I just bought. Online instructions suggest that the installation should start at the inside edge of the garage door, but in my case that would leave almost a foot of exposed slab with the peeling epoxy.

Can these floor tiles be installed all the way to the edge of the slab (i.e. under the garage door and outside a bit)?

I would not recommend any tiles or edges to be outside of the door. The main reason being that they will be exposed to direct sunlight and different temps than the inside floor ( which it's a part of) and could cause expansion issues

How wide of a 1' area? Maybe clean that up (grind the epoxy off) then use the tile in the rest of the garage

Always install the tiles and edges inside the door

Could you refinish that last foot of concrete and paint or seal it with sunlight and weather resistant paint or epoxy?

that is a good option and what most do. ( or just a great sealer after you clean up)
