I have been creeping on the boards for a while, but now I have finally gotten some spare time between starting a new business, school, and a new 5 month old with my wife. We bought the house last October and it is our first. I am only 21 and I grew up learning a lot of this from my dad. I am painting the garage first, then putting cabinets up that match, and then putting in a new workbench/tool storage setup. Somewhere along the way I am most likely putting down Racedeck tiles. I am still up in the air between the tiles and the epoxy, but my garage floor has a lot of settling cracks (very small).

Here is what it started out when we moved in.

Hopefully I'll finish the paint tomorrow and then get stuff moved back. I am planning on putting in some extra outlets, mounting a few fans up on the wall, and adding a new compressor to the garage. Any suggestions or comments are appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks guys! Under the cover is my old 88 Mustang coupe. After I got my 03 Cobra back I started parting it out to get a down payment for the house. I finally sold it back in April to a buddy as a shell.

I had a mistake on the first day painting. It was supposed to have the black on the bottom and red on the top, but i accidentally put the black on the top and left it. My friend said I'd be happier with that anyways because the black on top will keep it cooler, but I need better lighting.

Paint was finished minus a few cut-in spots up top and above the garage door. Here are some pictures..

Hope to get the cabinets from a local builder and redo them to match everything and get them up this weekend.. Any thoughts on whether to epoxy or go with Racedeck tiles. I saw a few other floors on here that were a black color epoxy with gray flakes that I liked and thought would look good.

Be careful not to make the place too dark. You've picked a very dark color scheme for the walls, and a dark floor will make the space even darker. Careful consideration will be needed on lighting options.

:+1: lighting is key for a good workable shop / garage / man cave

My 2 favorite colors, Yet I,m cheap and I got a bunch of left over paint. When I get to the point where I can paint maybe things will change. Looks good.
