I'd want to see a higher bottom chord load rating if you're dead set on placing a home gym in the attic.
I brought that concern up and was toldIts going to be bouncy, it's not going to fall down or anything but it will be bouncy. It is showing a L/240 standard which is WAY bouncy. I designed my house floor to be over L/720 so it would feel solid. People tend to think L/360 is too bouncy most of the time. L/240 is gonna be bouncy. Moving to 16" centers would help some but would not get rid of the bouncy feel.
Did you tell the truss guy you wanted a home gym up there? They can design whatever you are willing to pay for. They may need to double up every truss and then you could run 1 1/8" advantec up there it it would probably do pretty good.
That seems like a LOT of flex. I suspect it would feel like a trampoline.I brought that concern up and was told
That bouncy is on the Vertical TL Deflection. On the 14’ room there is a .91” flex. On the 12’, there is a .73” flex. This is already with the treadmill on top of it.
Was told there are things that can be done to reduce bounciness, which includes double ply trusses or going up on timber size (i.e. 2x8 to 2x10).
