Garage Unit Heater Qmark

All,

I have a Fahrenheat FUH54 (5000 watts) unit in my 500 sqft garage and I just cant get the temp above 50 on a cold day
I'm in NJ and the attached garage has 2 non-insulated doors with 2 walls insulated and 2 walls non-insulated with a 9 ft ceiling

Im contemplating changing the unit for a 7500-watt unit and my reasoning behind this is, I could always lower the temp if too hot
The unit I have in mind is the Qmark MUH072

Appreciate any opinions

2 walls are block walls and really don't want to frame it

I have a 500 sq ft (20X25) 2 1/2 car garage and recently added a Comfort Zone 5000 watt hearter. 3 of my walls and the ceiling are not insulated. When I'm out in the garage i set the thermostat at 50 degress as that's all I need and sometimes have to take my light jacket off. It always felt cooler when I would walk around the back of my truck between the garage and the truck so I decided to insulate the steel garage door. Really made a difference. Don't know if your wanting a good looking space or not but you could always install ridgid insulation to the block walls and insulate the door. Just some food for thought.

16,500 btu' s hot goes to cold any insulation will help

I have a comfort zone 7500 watt in an oversized 3 car with 10 foot ceiling, the doors are insulated and 2 walls and the ceiling. Raises the temperature from 50 to 80 at the heater height which is just below the ceiling, that's makes for a comfortable light jacket working temperature for me.
