Not too much has changed except for the electrical getting roughed in and my starting to put up the rock on the walls. At a minumum I had to sheetrock the ceiling and the front wall prior to putting the tracks for the gargage doors in. I suspect I'll be hearing from Overhead Door this week about an install date.

I also decided to buy a sheetrock lift. I found some brand new ones on e-bay for $249. I still have to finish the upstairs of the house. Renting that thing out for $28 a day would turn out to be more expensive and certainly inconvienent.

Lookin' good, Chuck!

For that kinda money, I think I'll follow your lead and buy a drywall lift for the garage and basement work that are certainly in my future

In the past I have been very fortunate about finding friends to help but it can be a real pain in the schedule. Chuck any chance you could post alink to the one you bought? I do have a birthday coming up maybe I should treat myself. ;)

Nice progress Chuck!

Will that drywall lift work at an angle? Say, for applying drywall to the underside of scissor trusses?

good question. I know it pivots from a horizontal to a verticle position so I think it can. It doesn't lock into different angle positions so you'll have to guide tray by hand. I'll see if I can snap some pics when it comes in. I should have it early part of next week.

The lift came in today :rocker: I put it together in about 10 minutes. I didn't so much as need a screw diver or wrench to put it together. The quality of the piece looks comparable to the unit I have been renting. I took a couple pictures of it but I left it over my girlfriends house. I'll post some more pics this weekend as I plan on using it.
