Garage updates and questions

Hey guys, the time has come to put some time and money into the garage. Currently it is a 2.5ish car garage, that has insulated and drywalled walls and ceilings. I would like to have the garage a little more comfortable and look a little nicer. I have three things I want to do, and will likely hire them out. The order of the three is where I have questions.
1. heat
2. floor
3. mud and paint the walls/ceiling

I live in Wi, so all four seasons are very real and active here. I am wondering if I should finish the walls and ceiling first, then heat and floor last? Also, the floor is mildly pockmarked from 30 years of winter salt. Would they need to "finish" or "smooth" the floor before they finish it to bring everything back to level?

I would want that mess done first as to not damage anything else and have a good surface to work off of.

I would like to have an epoxy or similar done to the floor. With it being pockmarked, I am not sure if that needs to have something done to it to level/smooth it out before the epoxy coating?

Figuring gravity is the enemy, I'd do the floor last. That way the mud and paint drips/drops land on the old floor vs on the new epoxy.

I agree, I would suggest working from the top down.

Take a look at a hyper heat minisplit for heating. These produce full rated heat output down to -15 or -20 degrees (depending on the model). AC is great to have. Even if you don't think you need cooling an AC provides dehumidification in the summer. Your tools and any other metal will thank you.

In your case you might want to do the floor first. Since this is an already used garage the concrete will need at least a good cleaning. If oil and other substances have gotten on the floor you might need to grind the surface; this makes a mess. You mention pockmarks - this makes me think grinding is likely needed.

Paint and plaster people are used to protecting floors. Even if they aren't any spills should clean off of epoxy easily. Easy cleanup of spills is one of the big reasons to do a floor!
