I thought for sure I had seen a thread for showing our garage wall art,
but for the life of me I can't find so I'll start another one. If the mods
know where the original thread is they're welcome to move this if they'd
like to.
Anyway I was in the shop and happened to have my camera so I tought
I'd snap a pix of the small section of wall that I covered with white
pegboard so I could hang some "stuff".
At the top is a grill for a '91 Buick Park Avenue that was left over when
they replaced the hood after the "round about" wreck last year.
Below the grill on the left is a 1925 Atwater Kent model E speaker that
I found in an old warehouse, it's dup for what's in the collection so I did
a minor repair to the cone and hung it on the wall.
in the center below the grill is a old furnace damper motor likely from the
teens. Below that is a Army Signal Corp Singars speaker from the first
gulf war era. Below the speaker is a old Black&Decker Jr hand drill, it was
my dads, may be for the 30s. on the right below the grill on the wooden
board is a control unit for something, I have no idea what, it has a couple
time delay vacuum relays and and AC connectors for plugging something
into to be controlled.
Below that, next to the B&D drill is a piston out of a 1961 Morris Minor 1000
which was my first car, I found it parked behind an old gas station, my
dad knew the owner so when I asked about it he sold it to me for $5,
I was 13 years old. I spent several summers taking it apart and putting
it back together, the engine and the 4 speed ******. Below the control
board and next to the piston is a Simpson 260 VOM, a classic piece of
test equipment. Finally on the top right next to the grill is a hub cap
from the Morris Minor.
Does anyone else have neat wall art to show off?
Let's see it
