Please tell me if this is a harebrained idea or not...White rubber roof coating on the garage walls. In a month I break ground on a new house. I requested the builder leave the garage walls bare- no sheetrock. My plan is to insulate and put up plywood. I have a couple of floor drains with a hot and cold water faucet for washing the bike and cars. Walls won't get drenched but will get wet on occasion. Paint will be plenty durable for this, but then the seams and nailheads show through. Saw this product at Menards today:

Should be thick enough to hide the seams and water will be no problem. I'd like to pick up a gallon to try it on some scrap, but don't want to throw away $50. Anyone use this stuff before on a roof and/or walls?
