Garage Wall Covering Idea?

I have a finished garage already; drywall, painted and base boards. When I wash the floor no matter how careful I am water always splashes on the wall which I have to towel off when done scrubbing the floor.

Is there a nice finish panel I can buy to cover about 4' high to protect the wall?
All I seem to find is slat style for hanging accessories which is not needed down there or metal which I personally don't want in this garage.

I know there has to be a product out there I am just not searching the right key words or looking in the right spot.

Can you guys help out with solutions you know of?

The frp panel dittle fart said. You can cut it in half and do 2 ft high panels to save money. Glue it with power grab

What he said. FRP (fiber reinforced panel).
It's not exactly the prettiest thing I. The world, but does exactly what you intend for it to do.
Home Depot, lowes, or other big box stores usually carry it in stock.


How adventurous are ya?
Might I sudgest coordinated steel? With a painted 1/3 on top to trim it out?

Another thing I've heard of guys doing is Truck bed liner. Expensive, but might be good on the walls. Not the DIY ****, but the mobile company's that come to you. Just a thought.
Plus that stuff can be color coded too.

We are going to do an epoxy floor and they can run the same finish up the walls like dittle fart around mentions above.

I think Menards calls it milk house panelling. Comes in 4'X8' sheets. You sometimes see it in gas station or restaraunt bathrooms (Not Ruth Christ's or Morton's).

Also consider steel. Unpainted gives a nice modern / retro industrial look and white really helps the lighting.

you could always go to the hardware store and buy a sheet or two of laminate(for countertops), cut it to the width you want, and contact cement it to the wall. laminate isn't REALLY durable, but it comes in many colors/designs, and will keep your walls dry.
then run a liberal bead of calking along the bottom to keep the water out.
done.

if you really want durability, you could always lay tile along the wall...

I put that white coated fiber board (for showers) over OSB for the wall behind my machines, for the flying chips and cutting fluids. It works great. Lowe's had 4x8 sheets for around $12 or so.

You could get OUTSIDE siding to put on the inside of the garage. As someone else mentioned, just cut it in half and have it 4' high. Put some edging along the top. Then paint it whatever color you want.

Another quick alternative would be vinyl wall base, you can by in 6" heights and just use power grab to adhere to your wall. It's not as high as you wanted but it would be less expensive, quick to install and repair/replace if needed. You would just have to reduce pressure when hosing towards the wall to minimize splashing.
