I've been a lurker long enough to know that most of the long time members are going to ignore your question. It could be worse though, I'm shocked that you haven't had a few come in here and make some snarky comments about search features or similar.

It is true, there are many, many threads on this topic, I've searched myself and have read many of them. Even so, I'm still up in the air myself on what to use for my upcoming shop. I have it narrowed down to OSB and drywall. The way I see it;

OSB

Pros

* Cheaper to install (vs taping, mudding and texturing drywall).
* More resistant to damage.
* Easy to take down and rehang should you need to access interior of wall.
* Easier to hang things on.

Cons

* Looks less professional/finished.
* Not as fire resistant.

Drywall

Pros

* Looks far better once taped, mudded and textured.
* Is said to be more fire resistant than OSB.

Cons

* Unless you are able to tape, mud and texture yourself, will cost more than OSB.
* Not an ideal surface to direct hang items on without using wall anchors or similar.
* Very easy to dent, nick, puncture etc and more expensive to patch than OSB.
* Once installed correctly, cannot easily be removed and put back up if needing to get access to the interior of the wall.

This is my layman's perspective off the top of my head.

Personally, I love the look of finished drywall and the additional fire resistance even if slight but love the versatility and strength of OSB. I'm leaning OSB but won't need to make a final call for at least another three months. That means I will flip flop my decision a minimum of 3,273 more times. Good luck to you with yours and try to ignore the get off my lawn OG's.

If you wash a vehicle inside just put in tin liner panels. Cheaper than vinyl.
