Garage wall ideas wanted

Im going to be painting my garage walls soon. Im looking for ideas for the walls . I kinda like the two tone . Lower wall a darker color and upper wall will stay white with some type of boarder in the middle of the two .

WHat have you done ? Or do you have a great idea ?

OOoo... hope you don't mind, but can I ask a question pertaining to this too? I thought my question was too dumb for a whole thread, but I think it applies here:

Does it matter if the color of the interior conflicts with the exterior of the house? In other words, I have a light brown house... would a blue interior look really stupid, or should I care?


In response to your question, booger.... I was thinking of doing two different colors as well, but really having just one wall be the accent wall (as seen in most interior decorating scenrarios these days). Then using that accent wall to present a motif (TBD later).

have u seen slat board? that stuff would be awesome to have on the walls. just slide a hook in wherever u need one. and it looks great too. other than that, i prefer the walls white. it makes it brighter. imho diff colored walls is for n the house, unless u r a woman. just my opinion, and remember opinions are like buttholes: everyone has one and they all stink.

"White n' Bright" for me. The stuff you fill it up with will provide plenty of colour.

I did yellow bottom and white upper separated by a piece of chair rail that runs all the way around. If I did it again I would paint the chair rail black. My paint is gloss.

The drywall in my garage was in horrible shape, so I took care of the top portion and used plastic corrugated roofing to hide some sins on the lower part -

Forgive the mess. I used 12' corrugated sections and cut them in half. The plastic cuts with scissors or a utility knife. For the air hose reel, I mounted a 2x on the wall and cut the corrugated around it. I'm almost to the point of having the walls done. Still need to add the 1x3" for crown molding.
