I am in the planning process for a garage make-over this spring. I have a fairly typical northeast 20x24 attached double that is finished in an unfinished knock-down (exposed sand) plaster for the ceiling and walls. The windows are trimmed nicely typical to the house and painted white semi-gloss. It really was sharp 13 years ago when we moved in but now its in need of some paint. No real mold or weather effects- just some cobwebs and dirty areas.
I plan on blowing the surface dirt and cobwebs off with some compressed air from the compressor and using Kilz on any stains- but other than that any general prep suggestions?
Also- what type of paint? Interior or Exterior? Prime or a paint with primer? I am thinking of some of the great garage builds for color schemes (some of the Texaco builds are an inspiration) but will most likely end up with white ceiling, gray walls and black or grey footing. (The floor is another whole discussion).
Thanks for any input- this site is great.

JMP
