When we bought the new house, I purchased a new front-load washer and dryer, perhaps you remember the dryer thread I had :) As it's front-load and clean, I didn't want to use it for shop rags. I've also been wanting a way to run my nylon towing/tie-down straps through without the metal parts beating the tub.

I bought a washer/dryer pair off Craigslist for $75 and stuck it in the barn. Works awesome and it's so nice being able to wash shop rags/etc. (no gas or oil on mine, just detailing chemicals and simple green) and not worry about the washer. Plus running back and forth is out. I love it!

I agree 100%. Not only does it keep the shop stuff in the shop, it also aids in that happy marriage thing too.

I have been watching out for one of the small stacked units (cheap) to use in the shop.
