Garage Weather Locks

With the wind gusting at 30mph and a snow drift forming in my garage through the cracks created by the wind and my overhead door, I started looking for a solution to secure the seal better in these situations.

Does anyone out there know of something that would attach to the wall, swing over and put some pressure on the overhead door to solve this issue.

I'm not looking for a hurricane lock, but rather something that can be swung out of the way fairly quickly, but can push the door tight when the winter winds pick up. I couldn't find anything with the search, but that probably because I don't know exactly what I'm looking for.

I could fabricate something to work, but wanted to know if there were any products out there for this?

Thanks in advance for the help.

There are a variety of clamps on amazon. Search "lever clamps"

A good properly installed arctic grade weatherstrip - is what you need... while not 100% perfect seal - should be in the 98% range.

Which will be 1000% less problematic than adding a latch to hold the door to the wall...

3 grades we see in my neck of the woods

That's cheap steel vinyl on the left, Elton Arctic grade on the center, and Wayne dalton on the right (now the home depot stuff is actually thinner than the wayne dalton - just be aware)

Thanks for the reply. I'll look into it and will probably give it a whirl on the West facing door to try it out, then move onto the other two doors if it works out.
