I'm looking to install 2 wireless speakers in the corners of my garage and wondering if you guys have any recommendations?

I'm open to any brand, but they must meet the following requirements.

- 100% wireless
- Bluetooth connectivity
- enough sound to fill a 40x40 garage without maxing the speakers out

Thanks guys for the help!

I bought the Bosch job site radio with one sub-woofer and bluetooth. The sound is amazing. Plus I can take it with me!

Bose makes a lot of good options - I've got an original sounddock that works for my basement which is around 30x20 - wouldn't want to have it much louder

What's the budget? If you have wiggle room, try Sonos. They have a couple of models. 40x40 is pretty big space (lucky you!), so you'll want at least 1 of their Play 5 speakers. Really amazing for what it can do, relative to the cost and, equally important, the headache of setting up a typical wired setup (assuming you're setting things up from scratch and don't already have those components). With a good wireless speaker, all you need is your phone--assuming you just use streaming audio applications.

If you have a LOT of wiggle room on the budget, look at the Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay A9. That's big bucks, $2,700, but it's incredible. I heard it demo'd. Could easily fill a 40x40 room. Place it on floor in a corner or mount on wall. You'll be blown away.

I spent $40 on a Marantz receiver, $25 on a pair of Denon speakers and a $25 Bluetooth receiver from Princess Auto. Grand total $85.

The Marantz was worth $1400 new and pulls in radio stations like nothing else.

X2 on the Sonos speakers.

2 Sonos Play5 and never think about it again.

Yeah, its expensive but I did it and I love it every day out there, really happy with them. Probably could even get by with only one Play5 but I wanted stereo sound. 2 Play3 should also do well in a 40x40, the guy at Sonos told me that was all I needed was 2 Play3s for my 30x40 but I like my music loud sometimes :) and went with the Play5s

SineSwept: Similar to you, I have an older system (albeit wired throughout the house) that I set up to run Chromecast audio. Took all of 5 minutes to get it going. I stream it from my Android phone using Pandora or iheartradio. A simple 3.5mm jack-to-RCA cable that's plugged into an auxilliary input and presto, digital music on an old tech (~20yrs) system.

Lots of great inexpensive innovations out there in wireless land to combine with older systems to make them relevant. What's old is new again...
