My longtime goal of a good-sized, detached garage/workshop is almost there. I'm having the shell built, with plumbing and basic electrical in place. Now I'm ready to start hanging out here to get ideas on how to finish it. :rocker:

Nice setting and looks like a good size garage. What are the dimensions? What do you plan to use it for - mechanical, wood working, or whatever comes to mind? You find lots of suggestions and opinions on this site with every aspect as you finish out the space. Good luck!

Exterior dims are 28 x 32, ceiling is 10'. I expect to use it for a little bit of everything. To start with it'll mostly be woodwork and wrenching, but I'd like to add some metalworking before too long.

We're north of Raleigh, near the intersection of 98 and 50.

I was actually sad to had to take out as many trees as I did, but it was really the only place it could go. I kept a few big oak trunks and I hope to have them lumbered and make some workbenches.
