Garagedeck/Racedeck on slightly uneven floor?

I've been thinking about buying either solid racedeck or garagedeck tiles for my 22x30 garage. House is 7 years old, bare concrete. I live in NW Indiana and have hot water in the garage for winter washing but no floor drain (I squeegee after washing). During washing I have an area where water pools up thats about 2 feet from the garage door - goes all the way across 2 of the 3 doors. It's a decent amount that pools there, maybe 1/8 inch puddle.

This leads to my 2 questions:

1. Will water get under the tiles in this area, freeze, and cause issues in my case?

2. Since I know it's not even, will I have tiles creaking or moving when walking or driving on them?

Thanks,
Aaron

If the dip is only 1/8" it should not hurt the installation but you might consider self leveling cement to fill the dip before you install the tiles. If ther is water standing and it does freeze in will cause the self levenling cement to lift over time. Good luck with the project.

Hello Aaron
As you may know, we manufacture all of our products here in Utah and we get a lot of snow during the winter. In my personal garage, which is not heated, I was my cars in there during the winter with no issue. Our floors are a patent full-suspension structure that allows air and moisture to circulate the lock system allows the flooring to contour the subfloor. You should have no issue at 1/8" dips, but it is very easy to spread a bit of self leveling compound in areas you have a concern with. Feel free to call us to walk you through it anytime
Cheers

I have searched and searched but with no success so I thought I would revive and old thread.

The garage in my new house was "textured" when it was put down. I hate it. The surface is similar to that of which you see as the background photo on this page ....... http://artisticconcrete.us/index.html

From close examination, the textures ranges from low to high by a maximum of 1/8". That is the maximum, but the entire 26' X 22' garage is finished in that manner. Did I mention I hate it? Obviously it was done so the garage looks Old World Italian courtyard style. Nice, but fairly impractical if you want to do any work in the garage on your vehicles.

I've hated it since we have moved in and am looking at addressing the issue. I want to avoid putting down 572 sq. ft. of leveling compound. Will RaceDeck work if laid over a surface such as this without surface prep?

Is the area outside of the garage higher than the area in question ?
If it's a bit lower you could grind a small drain trough, so the water drains to the outside.
