Hey Guys,
some of you may remember my Lemp Brewery shop space I had for a few years...
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=213926&showall=1

Due to bad property management and lack of enthusiasm from the back and forth drive I decided to add on to my carport and build me a shop at home. I need to keep it cheap, the house is 850 sqft and I dont need a 50K garage...trying to keep it around 25K with me and my friends doing the work. Ive tried to build in the past but lack of funds and city laws kept it from happening. Long story short with a city hearing and some advice I pushed and pushed and I got it started over a year ago. Here's what I original had built when I moved in ..:spit:

Cut my only tree down...

Couldn't afford a traditional foundation, so we built another carport behind it and then I will pour a big parking pad...

Went with scissor trusses for extra height

Nicely done. Will you have heat for the winter? Lived across the river in Collinsville for a few years and, even with global warming I know it can get piss freezing cold up there.

I'm a hot rodder of sorts and I really enjoy my heated an cooled 30' x 40'. At 72 there is no way I could get anything done out there with out the heat pump.

Are you going to turn that 36 into a skirted tail dragger? They look bitchin. Save the wishbones front and rear for me. I need them for a project I have already built in my mind.

No, I originally did it for a 4 post lift but I'm coming down to earth and trying to spend money on the things I really need. I do hope it will help with the resale down the road.

Ive got a 5000w electric heater that's doing ok so far. Ive worked in the Lemp when it was in the upper 40's so If I can get it to 60 Ill be real happy, I think this week will test it.

As far as the 36 goes, Im trying to get it running and together for the Forest Park Easter show but my plans are for a nice custom with a 59A flathead,T5, 9" rear and maybe a chop if my skill set ever gets there.

Heres what I would like....
