That is soooo awesome :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

Curious as to where this is and what seaplane that is. My son is the demo pilot for Dornier seaplanes and will be greatly interested in it, as he has flown a great many seaplanes including Grumman Mallards, twin Otter on floats, Beavers, to name a few.

I see Charles did reply that this is Kermit Weeks' Short Sunderland. It is the last 4-engined flying boat still in flying condition. I saw it flying at Oshkosh 1993 - Awesome sight. It is now at Kermit's "Fantasy of Flight" attraction in Polk City, Florida, on I-4 between Orlando and Tampa. http://www.fantasyofflight.com/ For the size of this shop, the wingspan is 112' and the tail is 33' high, not counting the beaching gear/dolly. And, believe it or not, there is still room in this place for more stuff!

It might be the last Shorts Sunderland but it's not the last 4-engined flying boat.

Two of the four Martin Mars are still flying as waterbombers on the west coast of Canada.

Not quite dark enough to be considered "night", but this was taken earlier this evening. I finally have power in the new shop!

Thanks E-Tek!
Yes...Co-op wrap. :) I'll never live that one down! I bought the garage package from True Value/Castle Building in town. They supplied pretty much everything I needed, except for the wrap. They didn't have any in stock when I needed it so I went to Co-op, not realizing that they have their logo plastered all over it! True Value wasn't impressed...everyone thinks the whole building came from Co-op. D'oh!!

Oh, I can get on from the office, but since I'm seldom here, and the REALLY frown on web browsing... I can check a couple threads and thats about it.. Not like I used too - spending hours looking - learning - swiping ideas

Just thought I'd add mine in too. It's been posted before on my build thread.

This is honestly one of my favorite pictures of it, it just looks so warm and inviting and I just want to go to work in there.
