I have to say that your garage looks fantastic. I'm really digging the black walls. I would have never thought of painting my walls black, but I did paint them a maroon color and painted my ceilings black. I'm really digging the looks of your touch of tranquility.:thumbup:

Thanks, Kevin. It truly is my sanctuary. The colour scheme definitely adds some interest to the otherwise ordinary layout.

Some dang kid put a Toyota in my garage. What the heck, you send them to school, take them to church, then they graduate from college and get a job and there you have it.

It's not finished as yet. Still need to stain and caulk building. No electric yet either. Extension chord to light for now. Really enjoy having a garage again. It's 16X20 and I'm already planning my next build (a 24X30)!;)

My meager 2-car garage. Although a week ago you couldn't walk in half of it and there was no work bench or anything. Long way to go still. Love the inspiration and ideas from this site.

Here's my first night pic. Not much yet, but I just got the power on and the garage doors installed on this new attached garage.

Got a new tanker desk for the garage so it got all rearranged! It's getting more and more useful each day!

I didn't turn outside lights on. It was cooling off and wanted to close the doors. I see the night light on the front is out. Ok,,, fixed it. I had mounted some controls on a header connected to a door jamb, constant slams rattled it and I have been to lazy to stop an hour or so and move a couple boxes to where they should have been in the first place.

Being a Mygyver that I am found an extension cord to by pass it. I live in the shop plus 3 other houses, and to storage garage. A cfl on each one and 2 on the shop and I can walk to any building without switching and leave 9 W on hanging in shop, a bug zapper w/light and 9 watts in my office 24/7.

Its designed so we only need to turn on lights to where we are going for tasks, when we go to work area can kick up the lights. I turn up 400 watt sodium in the general work area when we are busy as well as more task.
