I thought that was a diorama at first.
That's a compliment because it means you have "model garage".

Outstanding!!!!
Congratulations Sir.

Hello everyone! I joined GJ awhile back from Ontario Canada, finally have some pics to post! Since this is one of my favourite threads, love seeing all these beautiful garages lit up at night, I thought I'd start here. This is what we call our "Backyard B/A Service Station" The Big B/A sign is original & dated 1954 from the P&M sign company in Orillia Ont. Pumps are 1961 & '62 Canadian Wayne 420 models (one of which was a BA pump originally) I restored these two pumps last winter and customized them with illuminated logo pump plates & upper ad glass. Wayne never offered upper ad glass on these models. I am currently fabricating an island light pole to be installed between the pumps this spring.

Murphysba,

That is simply AWESOME, very very nice :thumbup::thumbup:
Thanks for sharing and if you have more pics well you know what to do right?
Maybe even a build thread in the garage gallery :dunno:

What are you using for the eyes? Window shades?

That looks great. I'd love to see how you made the eyes.

The eyes are just big pieces of cardboard that I cut out and then painted black. They fit the window frame perfectly.

That's great!:bounce:
Next year you should put covers over the windows on the garage door to the right, so the "teeth" are only under the eyes.

I actually do exactly as you suggested, just hadn't put them up when the picture was taken.

I posted the photo in my avatar a few years ago, but I just found a photo taken from inside that same night

This is exactly what I wanted to build in my backyard!

Due to setbacks and a requirement by the county that I needed to have adequate space for a maintenance field for my septic system quashed my plans for a dream garage.

My consolation prized was a Shelby GT.....:p :3gears:

Thanks! It was biggest I could go, given my restrictions in the yard and with the county. It's a 24x28x10 with rafters in the attic.

Here is mine. I'm sure it's hard to believe, but it's normally more of a mess. I pulled a car and a big zero turn lawnmower out to clean up inside the garage some. Eventually I will get the place better organized and more presentable, but until then I figured I would share.

Here's mine, at night. I don't have a full shot of the exterior at night. I want to paint it, first.

Well, I guess I will post this up! My first garage at night photo...but more like powerless night! For the first time I had two cars in my garage...the motivation was due to this chick named Irma. She told me I better get prepared.

Needless to say, this picture was taken on Monday without electricity after the storm. My daily and my Buick both safe, tucked away, with only my headlights for light. Most importantly my family and I are safe and evacuated when we needed to.

To those affected by Irma, I hope you and your loved ones are safe as well. I know these are stressful times in Florida and the Southeast. We will get through this and rebuild as we always do. Price we pay for living in what I call..."paradise". I will not leave this state.View media item 74602
