I'm in NW Indiana. Winters here can be weird. In January, we had temps in the 50s and 60s. Temps didn't get above 5 for about two weeks at end of January and early February. Two weeks ago was 80+. Highs have been in the low to mid 40s since with lows in the 20s since. Mid 50s the last couple of days.
I used the Rust Oleum Epoxy Shield Pro (2 coats of color and 1 coat of clear). It was put down over Labor Day weekend. My garage gets used to park 2 vehicles and for household projects - I've been cutting tile for a kitchen project over the last week on top of the floor.
No problems to date. Only thing I'm not happy with is that road salt scratches the floor once it dries and crystallizes - acts like an abrasive. Since I'm on construction sites weekly, my truck is always dropping mud on the floor. It does the same thing. This wouldn't be noticed with the light gray color but since I have Tile Red, the scratches are noticeable. Other issue is that it is slick when wet (and yes I used the flakes and non-skid additive).
The epoxy definitely makes for easy clean up. I bought a mop and a squeegee to make washing the floor down go quick. It took me about an hour or so to move small stuff off the floor hose it down, mop, and rinse / squeegee this afternoon.
One other thing I did was buy some VCT tiles to place under things might sratch the floor like sawhorses. At 60 cents each, if one breaks or becomes uncleanable they are disposable.
